We are specialists in pneumatic and electrical controls. The Timer and Counter Company manufactures and distributes timers, counters and controllers. We help with the design, operation and supply of complete systems across an extensive range of industries.

Our unique product range extends from pneumatic timers and counters to electronic process indicators. We include a portfolio of components that are used to make up the logic system. These include pneumatic valves and accessories, electrical relays and small plcs.

Over forty years experience has taught us that users appreciate assistance with selection and operation of timers, counters and controllers. Pneumatic devices frequently need to integrate with a customised pneumatic circuit. This pneumatic circuit typically requires other pneumatic valves and stop/start buttons for example. The Timer and Counter Company can specify and supply all these components for clients to build their own systems.

Who are we?

The Timer and Counter Company is a division of Kuhnke a major manufacturer of pneumatic, electrical and mechatronic components. Our unique skills bridge three technologies and many industrial, automotive, petrochem, marine, railway and automation applications, including intrinsically safe & ATEX.

We are H. Kuhnke Ltd, the UK distributor of all Kuhnke brand products. We are also the exclusive agent for Hengstler pneumatics in the UK, and a Hengstler main distributor for timers, counters and encoders.

The Timer and Counter Company focuses on timing and counting in the broadest sense. So if you are counting or creating an electrical or pneumatic pulse, or measuring it, from any source, try us for product and service.

We started by pneumatically counting the number of strokes of a pneumatic cylinder, using simple sensors. Our service now extends to counting degrees of rotation, encoders, positioning systems and fieldbus networks.

You will find our systems capable of integration into Profibus, CANbus and ASi (amongst others). And we are still happy to supply you with just a low cost pneumatic timer!
