Hengstler RI Series

Incremental encoders generate signals in response to rotary movement, up to 10,000 pulses per revolution (this is the "resolution"). They do not measure the number of revolutions. To do this an Absolute Encoder is needed.

The Hengstler RI series is available in different body sizes 30mm, 36mm, 40mm, 58mm, and 76mm. Within these products you can select standard and hollow shaft options, different shaft diameters, resolutions, and versions for 5VDC or 10-30VDC.

The most popular Hengstler Incremental Encoder is the 58mm round body RI58 with over 60 standard resolutions to choose from between 1 and 10,000ppr. 7 different shaft sizes, 2 voltages, and different flange options.
