Pneumatic counters are intrinsically safe and can be used where no electrical power is available. They are also suitable for certain ATEX applications. Pneumatic Counters are generally panel mounted, with 1 base mounted option.
Pneumatic Counters count a pulse of compressed air and display the number of counts on a mechanical display. Totalising Pneumatic Counters indicate just the number, and come in 6 or 8 digit versions, panel or base mounting.
Pre-Determining Pneumatic Counters count pulses up to a preset level or down to zero, and give a pneumatic output when the preset is reached. There are 3 and 5 digit versions, all suitable for panel mounting.
This range is reset by a seperate reset pulse, an automatic setting or manually according to model, and comes with a range of accessories for IP55 protection and tamperproofing.
Special 4, 6 and 8 digit panel mount totalising counters are also available from the Ellis Kuhnke range. These sturdy indicators are customised using different reset and panel cut out options. Unique features include 1/8NPTF fitting, and low pressure (0.5 bar / 7.5psi) versions.
Always use clean dry oil free compressed air and remember that these products tend to be used in areas which can be easily contaminated. An accessories range includes IP55 protection covers where needed. The most common operating problem occurs where a "count" pulse is received at the same moment as a "reset" signal.
