Encoder Position Indicators
The Timer & Counter Company supply a position indicator for use with incremental encoders. This panel mounted device has a large 6 digit, 14mm high LED display. It can be used to display basic number of pulses or can be prescaled. All versions count up and down and can be used for sensing input pulses other than encoders. Choose from 12-24VDC or 115-230VAC supply. There are 4 versions to choose from; without limit values, with 2 limit values or with RS232 or RS485 interface.
The Timer & Counter Company supply a position indicator for use with absolute encoders. This is the same product as used for incremental encoders except the interface is SSI. The maximum resolution in this case is 12 bits (Singleturn) and 24 bits (Multiturn 12 + 12 bits).
These products are part of the Hengstler 727 series of counters and indicators. The position indicator versions shown here are sometimes idendified by the prefix "Signo". Data sheets will often show "signo 727" to differentiate from timer and counter variants such as "tico".
