Pneumatic Counters

Pneumatic Counters count a pulse of compressed air and display the number of counts on a mechanical display.  Some are reset automatically, others by reset pulse, whilst totalising counters never reset.  Pneumatic counters are intrinsically safe and can be used where no electrical power is available. They are also suitable for certain ATEX applications and are generally panel mounted.

Range Overview

totalising counterPneumatic totalising counters register pneumatic impulses on a 6 or 8 digit display. Input impulse pressure (count) should be between 2 and 8 bar. The 6 digit counter can be reset either manually via a reset button, or by a pneumatic signal to a specially provided port. The 8 digit counter is non-resetable.  There are 2 panel mount versions similiar to the image shown, each with M5 ports.

There is one model of a base mounted pneumatic totalising counter available. This comes with a 6 digit display and operates with impulse pressures between 2 and 8 bar. The counter can be reset either manually via a reset button, or by a pneumatic signal to a specially provided port.

adding countersThese pneumatic adding predetermining counters register pneumatic impulses on a 3 or 5 digit display. Input impulse pressure (count) should be between 2 and 8 bar. The counter can be reset either manually via a reset button, or by a pneumatic signal to a specially provided port. One line of display shows the preset and the second line shows the actual count.  There are 4 panel mount versions similiar to the image shown with either M5 or 4mm ports.

These pneumatic subtracting predetermining counters register pneumatic impulses on a 3 or 5 digit display. Input impulse pressure (count) should be between 2 and 8 bar. The counter can be reset either manually via a reset button, or by a pneumatic signal to a specially provided port. One line of display shows the count value reducing to zero.  There are 4 panel mount versions similiar to the image shown with either M5 or 4mm ports.

General Advice

Always use clean dry oil free compressed air and remember that these products tend to be used in areas which can be easily contaminated. An accessories range includes IP55 protection covers where needed. The most common operating problem occurs where a "count" pulse is received at the same moment as a "reset" signal.
