This PE converter is a miniature mechanical pressure switch. It senses the presence of compressed air between 0.8 and 8 bar and switches a pair of plug contacts (single make).
It is particularly useful in compressed air control systems. By connecting to a pulse for example a small battery operated counter can show a number of pneumatic pulses without the need of external power or the fitting of a standard pneumatic counter.
