Revolution or stroke counters are used within a wide variety of process applications where accurate mechanical length recording or counting is required. This range of revolution or stroke counters are suitable for almost any continuous process, they are strong, robust and durable, each offering a selection of options to suit your specific requirement. Revolution or length counters can be specified with many transmission ratios, shaft orientation or drive direction. Transmission ratios are also known as gear ratios and refer to a displayed value per complete revolution of the shaft; there are many transmission ratios to choose from within this group of products. Units of measure can be metres, metres and centimetres, feet, feet and inches, feet and tenths, yards, yards and eighths or yards and tenths mechanically displayed, resettable either by a push button or lever. Stroke counters are also commonly known as lever counters or ratchet counters, they are designed for reciprocating movement within a limited degree of rotation, the transmission ratio is normally 1:1 in one direction only, the levers are internally mechanically sprung so they return to a rest position, used for example on hand punch presses, photocopiers, or vending machines where a mechanical movement operates the counter. Stroke counters can be specified with varying shaft orientation or drive direction; they are reset via a mechanical push button. Due to the vast product portfolio and combinations available, we have listed only the most popular versions within these pages. Trumeter and Hengstler offer many variations, please ask for further information for other models not shown here.
